PROJECT WEEK(AD FESTIVAL)

 Project week( ad festival)


AUGUST 10th to AUGUST 14th.

1. the teacher will introduce the project the students will work on ( an advertisement)

2.The teacher will show to the students some ads  of big companies. And they will listen to an audio of somebody talking about advertisement. 

3. Students will go to this link and they will talk about on how not all advertising has commercial purposeshttp://www.unwomen.org/en/news/stories/2013/10/women-should-ads

4.Then students will start to do their projects, they will work in small groups of 3, encourage them to use have to and must and their negative forms to create the list of rules related to the issue they chose to talk about in their ad.
5.Students will think about issues that affect coexistence in your classroom. For example: bullying, religious differences, arguments over sport teams, urban tribes, and so on. They will choose one of them.

6. Students will continue working in their projects, they will make a list of rules that could prevent the issue they chose, for examples: we respect our classmates’ likes and dislikes, we must not laugh at someone just because of the way he/she looks. We do not have to put up  with any form of abuse.

Students will design a poster, audio or video advertisement presenting their issue and their list of rules.
Students will brainstorm ideas on how to make it using the strategies mentioned on the audio on exercise 1.
